Pin the Fun on Halloween

A last minute class party to put together left me looking for inspiration from a twist on a classic party game.  This time it was a class Halloween party where pin the tail Halloween themed games were needed.  In this case, I printed a pin the nose on the jack-o-lantern, pin the nose on the witch and pin the tail on the cat from the internet and mounted all three on a poster board for pin the fun on Halloween theme.

Halloween themed cupcakes with light orange butter cream frosting were topped with pumpkin and bat sprinkles presented on a pumpkin platter.  The cupcakes have pumpkin, witch, and cat toppers to tie in with the game.  A mini bucket is filled with candy corn and is perfect for holding the cupcake tag.

Cake pops and marshmallow pops have colored sprinkles and arranged in a bouquet with mini candy bars.  The pumpkin party bags are filled with candy and favors with candy corn and owl tags.

All the baked goods are wrapped in cellophane for the final presentation.

Baby Girl’s First Birthday Party

I had a day to put together treats for a treat table at a baby girl’s first birthday party.  There was no theme just a color scheme of pink.  It was a mad dash to incorporate items already available.  I made vanilla cupcakes with butter cream frosting and butterfly sprinkles.  The cupcake liners are muffin cups that go directly into the oven without need of a cupcake pan.  I tied white ribbon around the cupcakes for a little extra flair.  I already had cookie  cutters with a spring theme and decided to make butterfly shaped sugar cookies.  I sprinkled pink sugar and put them in a treat bag with the same white ribbon used on the cupcakes.  I coated marshmallows with white candy melts and sprinkled them with pastel sprinkles.  The end result reminded me of ice cream so I used ice cream glasses to display them in and used the remaining candy melts to fill the glasses.  I had pastel stickers with ducks, teddy bears and rabbits on them.  They provided a nice effect for the marshmallow pops’ final presentation.  Pink ribbons and tags described what each item was for guest.  Spring came a little earlier that day.
